Our Journey continues...

Neil and I have been feeling led to relocate since, well, early on when we were dating. This is something we haven't made public because we obviously want what God wants for us, and didn't want to move just because our winters are brutal! lol Although, to some of you, you may feel that is enough of a reason!! Even though that was a BIG part of why we've wanted to relocate, there are many other reasons.

Ever since I moved back to Buffalo from Virginia (where I did Graduate studies at Liberty University), I've said that I left a part of my heart in the South. Many of you may not know this, but I had attempted to stay in Virginia had I been able to land an internship for my final leg of my Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree. But because Virginia is the counseling "hub" of the nation, it was quite difficult to find something that both met my degree requirements and was a good match for what I was looking for. I must have made hundreds of phone calls down there, after finally feeling the peace that God was leading me back home to Buffalo, NY. Which as God led me home, I also pursued an internship position in Indiana, where one of my dear friend had relocated when she got married, but at the last minute, felt God telling me to stay in Buffalo. Talk about confusing -- not knowing why God wasn't giving me any of the desires I had sought, I in obedience stayed in Buffalo.

Not long after settling into home again, my dear mama (aka Pammy) was diagnosed with cancer. It was evident why God had me here. The next 2 years were stressful, but totally worth me staying to be there for my mom (as well as my own peace of mind). There is much more to that story, and several other blessings that came from being home -- among a list of challenges! But, I digress.

What some of you may also not know, is that Neil (my stud of a husband), was born in Florida. As he says often, the south is in his blood. Neil is returning to school at the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media, and although it's offered as an online degree which he is enrolled in, there are some pulls to be close by for him to frequent the campus, utilize their resources, and meet others in the field. Cutting to the chase -- we are looking to relocate to the Atlanta area, in 2022. The music school is only a small related reason we plan to move.

As we would love to share any other details to questions that you may have, at least you have the main idea and are aware of our plans for the future. Hit us up if you're feeling like having a conversation about it - to hear our plans, and expand on the things we believe God is showing us! Ideally, our plan is to leave shortly after our 1 year rental lease is up in Feb. 2022. So somewhere within the March-May window.

As we'll miss you all, and find it bittersweet to leave, we hope that you will support us in this decision to embark on our new journey to the south. Prayers are welcome!! And we hope to have visitors in the future!!

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
